Earlier this week representatives of the Lurgan branch of the IPSC requested a meeting with St. Paul's committee to discuss the current conflict in Gaza and how St. Paul's and its' members might support IPSC. IPSC is not aligned to any political party or organisation, it exists to highlight the humanitarian challenges faced by the people of Gaza.
Anyone who has watched or read the recent news reports of hospitals being bombed, medics being murdered and bulldozed into makeshift graves, the blocking of aid and food trucks and the turning off of utilities, including water, would be hard pressed to see these actions as a war between two armies. Palestinian civilians in Gaza, particularly children, are dying from bombs, bullets and starvation.
How can you support IPSC and the Palestinian people?
There are a number of ways to support IPSC and raise the profile of this conflict even higher.
1. Follow and share IPSC social media posts - ipsclurgan on Facebook and @ipsclurgan on Instagram.
2. Make a donation - an online donation link will be shared in the near future.
3. Join 'The Great March for Gaza' on June 7th. The 25 mile march will be in four segments so it is not necessary for everyone who wishes to participate to walk the whole 25 miles. Join the march and walk as little or as far as you are able.
4. Join future events organised by IPSC.
