A genuine thank you to everyone who put their hands in their pockets and bought tickets for our Country Festival.
The weather gods were kind to us and despite it getting a little chilly later in the evening, at least it stayed dry and we were spared the potential risk of it being a washout.
The large crowd really seemed to enjoy the variety of artistes and the ‘dance-floor’ was seldom empty.
The bar-staff did a sterling job and any queueing for drinks was kept to a minimum.
The volunteer stewards, including those managing the entrance and exit ensured we delivered a smooth, professional and enjoyable event. This was in no small part down to those of you who attended who made our jobs so easy.
As well as raising funds for the club we also raised funds for Heart, Chest & Stroke NI and we will publish that amount later in the week.
In closing, special mention must be given to committee member Declan ‘Piper’ Magill whose brainchild this event was. Piper not only came up with the idea, he identified the artistes and secured the funding from the main sponsors of the festival.
Well done and GRMA everyone!
